Terms of Service for IELTS Prep BD

By downloading, installing or using IELTS Prep BD (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

IELTS Prep BD is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IELTS, the British Council, IDP IELTS Australia, or Cambridge Assessment English. “IELTS” is a trademark of its respective owners and is used here only to describe the type of exam the app helps you practise for.

1. What IELTS Prep BD is

IELTS Prep BD is a preparation app for learners studying for IELTS-style English tests. It provides practice across Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking, AI-generated feedback, a vocabulary trainer, and progress tracking, with optional Bengali explanations.

2. No score guarantee

Band scores, band trends and AI feedback shown in the app are practice-based estimates generated by software. They are not official scores, they do not predict your official result, and they must not be presented as IELTS results. Using the app does not guarantee any exam outcome.

3. AI feedback

Writing and Speaking feedback is generated by AI models. It can be wrong, incomplete or inconsistent. Treat it as guidance, not examiner judgement. Pronunciation assessment is approximate because it is derived from transcripts and fluency signals rather than acoustic scoring.

4. Accounts

The app requires an account so your progress can be saved and synced. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure, and for the activity that takes place under your account. One person should use one account; creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free allowances is a breach of these terms.

5. Free and Premium service

All learning content is available to every account, free and Premium alike: every lesson, passage, recording, vocabulary topic, mock test and Writing or Speaking task, including content added later. What a free account is limited to is AI marking — a small lifetime allowance of Writing and Speaking checks, which referrals can increase. Premium includes Unlimited AI feedback for normal individual study and removes advertising for its active period. Current plans, prices and durations are shown before purchase and may be updated for future purchases. Changes to plans do not shorten a Premium period you have already been granted.

6. Referral rewards

Each account has a referral code. Successful referrals increase the referrer's lifetime AI allowance, and the person who joins receives a joining allowance too. The app may also grant Premium after a configured number of successful referrals; the current threshold and reward period are shown in the Referral screen. Rewards apply only to genuine new users. Creating accounts to redeem your own code, or similar manipulation, may result in removal of rewards or suspension of the account.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

automate or bulk-submit requests, share or resell an account, or otherwise abuse or overload the service;
attempt to bypass service protections, content access rules or payment verification;
submit unlawful, hateful or harmful content for AI evaluation;
reverse-engineer, decompile or interfere with the app or its backend;
extract, copy, redistribute or resell the app's content or access to it.

8. Content and intellectual property

Practice lessons and tests in the app are IELTS-style materials prepared for this app; they are not past IELTS exam questions. Vocabulary sections use curated word lists with app-specific examples, organisation and Bengali guidance. All of this material, together with the app's design and software, remains the property of IELTS Prep BD or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own study. You may not extract, republish or redistribute the app's content.

9. Payments and Premium activation

Where website transaction-ID submission is available, you must use the same signed-in account as the app and submit a genuine, unused transaction ID for the plan displayed. Submission is not automatic proof of payment; Premium starts after the payment is reviewed and approved. False, reused or manipulated submissions may be rejected and may lead to suspension. Promo codes are limited by their stated validity period, redemption count and account restrictions.

Purchases made through Google Play, where offered, are governed by Google Play's terms and refund policy in addition to these terms.

10. Refunds

Premium is a digital service that is made available immediately on approval. Except where a refund is required by applicable law, or by the store through which you purchased, payments are non-refundable. If Premium was charged but not activated, or was activated in error, contact support@ieltsappbd.com and we will correct it.

11. Availability and changes to the service

The app is under active development. Features, content and limits may be added, changed or removed, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We will not remove Premium access you have already paid for during its active period.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including fraudulent payment submissions or referral manipulation. You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from Settings > Privacy > Delete account, or as described on our Account deletion page.

13. Liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost opportunities (including exam outcomes), lost data, or service interruptions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. The current version and its update date will remain available on this page. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights available to you where you live.
