First confirm what you need
Check the website of the institution or embassy you are applying to for the version (Academic or General Training), the minimum band and any skill-wise requirement. Booking before you know the requirement can mean sitting the test again.
Book through official channels
Book from the authorised centre’s official website or office. Be careful with agents or unfamiliar pages and keep your payment receipt. Dates and seats can fill up, so look early.
ID and details
Enter your name and details exactly as they appear on your ID, usually matching your passport. Bring on test day the same ID you registered with.
Format and preparation time
See whether your centre offers paper-based or computer-delivered testing. Once the date is fixed, enter it in the app’s Planner; your plan is then laid out up to the exam and checkout can suggest Premium or Premium Plus for you.
